We have three levels of support:
Nelson & District Hospice Society is partly funded by the Interior Health Authority, an Osprey Foundation Endowment Fund, as well as various community donations, and annual fundraisers.
Donations
All donations go to support the work of Hospice in the community where they are made. You may choose to donate to a specific program such as grief support, volunteer training, client resources or make a general donation.
Estate Gifts
Anyone may use their estate planning and wills to make a gift to benefit Nelson Hospice. If you are interested in that, please contact us.
Osprey Foundation Endowment Fund
In 2020, Nelson Hospice created an endowment fund with $10,000 of seed money from the many donations and support of our community, with our local Osprey Community Foundation.
Donations
All donations go to support the work of Hospice in the community where they are made. You may choose to donate to a specific program such as grief support, volunteer training, client resources or make a general donation. When making your donation, please specify which area you are supporting (Nelson, East Shore).
On-line credit card donations can be made safely and securely through the CanadaHelps donation portal. A tax-deductible receipt will be issued automatically.
Estate Gifts
Anyone may use their estate planning and wills to make a gift to benefit Nelson Hospice. If you are interested in that, please contact us.
Osprey Foundation Endowment Fund
This fund will grow with the support of community businesses, organization and donors who know that the work we have done for so many years will only grow as our community ages and our needs for support in both times of illness and grief grows. This endowment can grow with the wise stewardship of Osprey Community Fund and its income will support all of the programming and administration of Nelson Hospice.
